JAMES CLINCH SMITH SAW MUCH HAPPINESS AHEAD
Brooklyn Daily Times
It is recalled that James Clinch Smith, whose name is on the list of those aboard the Titanic but not among those of the survivors, went abroad to the [sic] effect a reconciliation with is wife. She has been intensely interested in music, almost, it is said, to the exclusion of domestic ties. It is known that Mr. Smith’s visit to France was, as he hoped it to be, a complete success from the standpoint of reconciliation and Mrs. Smith had arranged to come to Southampton in a few weeks to take up the quiet country life that was so pleasing to her husband.
