One of the victims of the great wreck was Arthur E. Nicholson of London. England, a frequent visitor to this city. where he occasionally called upon his personal friends, ex senator Lyonas Delany of the firm of the Lyons Delany Company.
While his home was in London. he spent his winters in recent years at the Isle of Wight and a goodly portion of the other time he was in New York City. For years he was an agent of the Tea Grovers Association, and in this connection he came to be known to Mr. Delany, with whom he had traded for years. The business realatons ripened into a warm personal friendship, which became manifest in various ways.
His last visit to Pawtucket was last fall. and the last winter he spent, as usual at the Isle of Wight, from which place he had recently returned. Mr. Delany describes him as typical Englishman, large hearted and pleasant to meet. While he bore a dignified air, as of royal personage, he is described as the opposite in reality, and among his most imidate friends he was known by the application of "Nick"
