Smoke Pours from the Queen Mary's funnels as she waits off Gourock.

Queen Mary This tiny fragment comes from an amateur 9.5mm pathescope film.

The Cunard Liner RMS Queen Mary is shown standing off Gourock, Scotland on the Clyde (24th March 1936) for anchor trials, adjustment of the magnetic compasses and fitment of her lifeboats.

We have no further information about the cinematographer... it is possible more film was shot in the same sequence that exists in other, as yet undiscovered, reels.

A distinctive mast can be seen on the hills across the shore. Can you identify the location?

We have looped the film a few times and enlarged a section.
