NEWPORT, R. I., June 26---The Rev. Edward S. Travers, rector of the Episcopal Church at Rhinebeck, N. Y., will be the assisting clergyman to the Rev. Harold St. George Burrill, rector of Emmanuel Church, at the wedding of John Jacob Astor 3d and Miss Ellen Tuck French at Trinity Church Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Astor, nearly recovered from his cold, entertained with a tea at Chetwode for his fiancée today.

Many other entertainments are planned for the rest of the week. Mrs. Charles D. Easton will give a luncheon at her Price's Neck home tomorrow in honor of Miss French and Mr. Astor.

Mrs. Enzo Fiermonte, the former Mrs. Madeline Force Astor Dick, probably will not attend the marriage of her son, John Jacob Astor 3d to Miss French in Newport next Saturday. Mrs. Fiermonte is under a physician's care at her home in Westhampton, L. I. She has never recovered completely from the injuries to her arm received in a fall last year in Bermuda.
