Member of Titanic Crew Aided in Rescue of Mrs. John J. Astor

HOBOKEN, N. J., Nov. 18---Robert J. Hopkins, who was a member of the crew of the ill-fated liner Titanic when it struck an iceberg and was sunk on its maiden voyage in 1912, died here yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 77.

Mr. Hopkins aided in rescuing Mrs. John Jacob Astor, and was one of the crew of the lifeboat in which Mrs. Astor was brought to safety. He leaves two sons, Robert H. and James J. Hopkins.
