Among the passengers of the Titanic was Mr. Charles Whilems, 31, a foreman in the employ of Messrs. Robinson King’s glass works, London. Mr. Whilems was taking the trip in order to visit some relatives in New York, and intended returning to London by the same vessel. Mrs Charles Whilems (with her three children, ten years, seven years, and seven months respectively) is at present staying with her sister, Mrs. Squires, of Queen-street, Tiverton. Up to yesterday her husband’s name has not appeared in the list of survivors, but she has hopes that the name of one of the survivors (given as Charles Williams among the second class passengers) is her husband, as the name Whilems has often been mistaken for Williams.
