Mr. Arthur Ward, one of the Titanic's engineers. In all the messages received no mention is made of what happened in the engine-room, of the gallant engineers sticking to their post with the water pouring into the bowels of the ship. That not one was saved is a tribute to the devotion and heroism of the men buried deep in the engine-room of the mighty vessel.
