Duke of Genoa Represents the King---J. P. Morgan Present
---
VENICE, April 23---The International Art Exhibition was solemnly
inaugurated to-day by the Duke of Genoa in the name of King Victor
Emmanuel.  J. P. Morgan, who arrived yesterday, was one of the central
figures at the ceremony.

Count Grimaldi, the Mayor of Venice, delivered a speech, in which he
said that this exhibition had very great artistic significance, owing to
its connection with the rebirth of the famous Campanile and the
ressurrection [sic] of Italian power in Northern Africa and the
Mediterranean.
