Questions and Answers

Questions about the Titanic and her passengers and crew are very much appreciated, this is how we learn more about them but please do not email your questions to the editor of Encyclopedia Titanica. There are numerous resources out there to help you find the answer you are looking for:

1. Join the ET Message Board. The message board has been set up as forum for questions and answers and for new research to be presented and discussed. It is also a friendly, multi-national group of people with similar interests.

2. Get a Book! Hundreds of books have been written about the Titanic over the years. Among the best are A Night to Remember, by Walter Lord, Titanic Voices by Donald Hyslop et al, Titanic: Triumph and Tragedy by John Eaton & Charles Haas and Titanic: An Illustrated History, by Don Lynch & Ken Marschall. A simple search at an online bookstore will yield a vast array of published material on the subject.

3. Do some Research. The local newspapers from 1912 contain a wealth of information about the Titanic passengers and crew from your area. Most libraries have these microfilmed so why not see what you can find. You might turn up something hitherto unknown. Click here for information on how to add your research to the site.
