Settles Suit Against Fiermonte

MINEOLA, L. I., Aug. 1O---Former District Attorney Elvin N. Edwards of Nassau County, attorney for John Drennan, newspaper photographer, in his civil suit for assault against Enzo Fiermonte, husband of Mrs. Madeline Astor Force Dick Fiermonte, filed today in Supreme Court discontinuance papers in the suit and announced the matter had been settled, Drennan receiving a sum of "four figures." Drennan sued Fiermonte for allegedly striking him on July 6 outside Jamaica Magistrates Court when he tried to take a picture of Fiermonte before the former pugilist was sentenced to five days in the work house for speeding.
