SOUTHPORT MAN ABOARD

Southport Visitor

We understand that among the crew of the Titanic is Mr. James Walpole, elder brother of Mr. H. Walpole, a prominent local bowler.

This is the second shipping disaster Mr. Jas. Walpole has been in, having only recently been transferred from the Olympic to the Titanic. He was aboard the Olympic at the time of its collision with the cruiser Hawke in Southampton Water.

Mr. Walpole holds the position of chief in the commissariat department, and has been with the White Star Line for very many years.
