STEERAGE VICTIM LIVED HERE
Evening Bulletin
---
Nathan Goldsmith was lost when the Titanic went down, his wife believes. She lives at 2017 S. 7th st.
She heard from Goldsmith three weeks ago. He said he was coming home, and would sail on the Titanic, presumably in the steerage.
Mrs. Goldsmith has heard nothing from him since and is convinced that he is a victim of the disaster.
Before the Boer War Goldsmith was a shoemaker in Capetown, South Africa. The war ruined his business and he came here, settling in Bryn Mawr.
A few months ago he had occasion to cross the ocean, and his wife and two children moved into the city.
Samuel Spiegelman, Bryn Mawr, is raising a relief fund for the widow.
