Tells of Her Financial Loss

BERNARDSVILLE, April 24---Mrs. Jane Herman, wife of Samuel Herman, who lost his life in the Titanic disaster, said yesterday that her husband had with him a check for a large sum, a gold watch and chain belonging to her and other valuables. Besides these articles, Mrs. Herman had on board other valuables including silverware worth sixty pounds in English money. Mrs. Herman and her daughters, the Misses Kate and Alice Herman, are staying at the home of Mrs. Herman’s brother, Arthur Laver, steward of the Somerset Hills Country Club.
