The Olympian Games
The Times
The English team for the Olympian games in Athens next April has not yet been definitely chosen. In consequence of Mr C. Leaf Daniel's having been asked to be Captain of the Amateur Fencing Association's team to Paris he cannot go to Athens, and his place among the fencers from whom the English team will be chosen has been taken by Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon.
[Led by Sir T. A. Cook, a British team composed of Lord Desborough, Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon, Mr Edgar Seligman and Mr Newton Robinson tied for the first place with the French in the Games at Athens.]
