The Titanic has been the subject of numerous dramatic films since the first was made shortly after the sinking (e.g. "Saved From the Titanic" featuring Dorothy Gibson). However, genuine film of the ship, prior to the discovery of the wreck, is very rare. Indeed, in the aftermath of the sinking film companies were forced to use extant film of the Olympic and other vessels to represent the sunken vessel. The three shots presented here may be the only moving film of the actual Titanic.
