Mr Alfred Samuel Allsop, 34, was born in Manchester and served his apprenticeship with H. H. Hall & Co. of Liverpool. This was followed by employment with Campbell & Isherwood of Bootle, Hame Electric Company of Liverpool and the Northern Electric Company of Liverpool.

He joined White Star in August 1904 as assistant electrician aboard the Celtic. He later served on the Majestic and Oceanic before joining the Titanic.

Allsop lived in 134 Malmesbury Road, Freemantle, Southampton. He died in the sinking leaving a widow, Hilda, and one child. His estate at death was worth £152 6s 7d.
