Mr Charles Natsch1 was born in Connecticut in 1875. In 1912, he was living with his wife and four children at 503 East Seventh Street in Flatbush, Brooklyn, New York.

He embarked on the Titanic in Cherbourg (ticket number 17596 - Cabin C-118), following a business trip on behalf of his employers - Lamont Corliss Company.

Mr Natsch died in the Titanic disaster and his body, if recovered, was never identified. Following the catastrophe, newspapers in New York, in error, printed that Mrs Natsch and her children were survivors of the sinking. One of the children became sick with pneumonia (later being attributed to exposure in the lifeboat). This was certainly not the case.

Mrs Natsch later filed a claim against the White Star Line for the death of her husband in the amount of $150,000.00.

Notes
He is frequently listed as Charles H. Natsch, however, according to his family he had no middle name although his son was named Charles Halsey Natsch.
