Mr Charles Robert Bainbrigge

Mr. Charles Robert Bainbrigge, 23 (born in St. Peter's Port, Guernsey, in 1888), a horse trainer from Rohais Manor, Guernsey, boarded the Titanic at Southampton as second class passenger. He held ticket number C.A. 31030, price: £10 10s.

Mr. Bainbrigge first came to the United States in April 1905 as a tourist together with his sister Ethel (born 1878). His sister seemed to have stayed behind; she lived in 1912 at 214 Dayton Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota. She was visisted by her brother in March 1909.

He was supposed to travel on the Olympic on 3 April 1912, but embarked on the Titanic instead. According to a contemporary account he was travelling to Savage's International Stock Farm, Minnesota, U.S.A.

Mr. Baimbrigge died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified. His mother received a grant of £ 85 from the Titanic Relief Fund (case P. 16)
