Mr Charles Wilhelms

Mr Charles Whilems, 31, a glass bender from London was born at Sunderland, England. He lived at St. Neville Road, Forest Gate, London, where his wife was left. His destination was New York (2270 Broadway). To reach it, he boarded the Titanic at Southampton and bought ticket number 244270 for £13.

Mr Whilems survived the sinking. He was rescued by the Carpathia in lifeboat 9.

To New York, he sent a Marconigramm, which was transmitted on 18 April at 5.59 am.
