Mr Edward "Edwin" Herbert Keeping, 33, was valet to George Dunton Widener .
A widely travelled man Keeping had visited numerous countries in his work with various employers among whom was a Russian Grand Duke, who gave him a locket as a present when he left.
Edward Keeping was married to Karin Johansson from Stockholm. They met through working together for the Wideners (she also was a servant). After a while they got married and Karin gave up work to have time for their daughter Mildred.
Keeping boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg and travelled on his own ticket (#113503) [1].
Mr Keeping died in the disaster, his body was later recovered by them MacKay Bennett (#45) and was buried at sea on 21 April 1912.

Among the effect found with the body was the locket given to Keeping as a gift. In it were two pictures, one of his wife and the other of his three year old daughter.
Keeping's widow and daughter received an annual sum from a trust started by Mrs Eleanor Widener . Karin returned to Sweden and died in 1968. After that her daughter Mildred (later Fogelberg) alone received the annual payment.
Notes
It appears, from papers found on his body, that he had been staying with the Wideners at the Paris Ritz Hotel. The "Marriages, Birth, Deaths ..." list gives the Wideners' last address as the London Ritz. It is possible that during their tour of Europe thay stayed at both. They joined the Titanic in France, however.
