Mr Erik Gustaf Collander
Mr Erik Gustaf Collander, 28, from Helsinki, Finland, was the son of Dr Paul Collander.
Erik Collander was trained as an engineer and worked as technical director at a large paper mill near Helsiki.Collander left Finland on April 1, 1912. He was travelling to the United States on a pleasure trip and to study. According to the Ohio newspapers he had planned a surprise visit his cousin, Dr. Paul J. Collander of Ashtabula, Ohio.
Collander boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a second class passenger and perished in the disaster, his body, if recovered, was never identified.
