Mr Ernest Charles Cann was born in c. 1883 1 the son of William Cann.

Ernest later moved to Penwithick near St Austell, Cornwall where he worked as a china clay labourer. He was married to Emmie Johns on 4 November 1911.

Mr Cann boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a third class passenger along with his friend William Saundercock, also of Penwithick. His ticket (#2152) cost £8 1s. His destination in the USA is not known.

Ernest Cann died in the sinking, his body was not recovered.

Notes
In some documents his age is given as 21, his marriage certificate gives his age as 28 in 1911.
