Mr Hanna Mamee

Hanna Mamee, 20, was a farmer from Syria (now part of Lebanon). His last place of residence was Tripoli, Syria. He was destined for the home of his cousin, Thomas Betros, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Mamee boarded the Titanic at Cherbourg as a third class passenger (ticket number 2677, £7 4s 7d).

He was rescued, probably in lifeboat 15. The story that came down through the family was that he had been picked up out of the water by Mrs Astor's boat but there is no evidence to support the claim.

Mamee set up a pool room in Washington in the 1920s and was married to Elizabeth Starr (Najim / Dadah family.) They had no children.

He died in early 1950's or late 40's.
