Mr Henry Michael Mitchell
Mr Henry Mitchell was a 70 (?71) year-old retired businessman from Guernsey, England. He was en route to Toledo, Ohio (and/or Montclair, NJ) and had originally purchased a ticket for the Philadelphia, which was to have sailed on April 6. Coal was not available because of the miner's strike and the Philadelphia's voyage was cancelled. Mitchell was transferred to the Titanic, boarding in Southampton. He was to have visited his sister, Mrs Anna Jeffrey, of Toledo, Ohio. However, Henry Mitchell died in the disaster.
