Mr J. Bertram Crosby
Mr J. B. Crosbie, 42, was born in Croydon.
When he signed-on to the Titanic [1], on 9 April 1912, he gave his address as 47 St. Dunstans Road, (Southampton). His last ship had been the Olympic. As a turkish bath steward he received monthly wages of £6 10s [2].
Crosbie died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified.
Notes
1. For some reason, on the articles of agreement, the turkish bath attendants were included with the galley staff
2. Crosbie was presumably the senior turkish bath steward as his colleagues Ennis and taylor earned £6 and £4 respectively.
