Mr James Walpole
Mr James Walpole, 48, was born in Southport.

(Daily Sketch 18 April 1912)
Walpole had been with the White Star Line for thirty years, gradually rising through the ranks. He had previously served on the Britannic, Adriatic, Majestic and Celtic.
He was on board the Titanic for her delivery trip from Belfast to Southampton. When he signed-on again, in Southampton, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 12 Stafford Road, (Southampton). His last ship had been the Olympic. As chief pantryman he received monthly wages of £7.
