Miss Joan Wells, 4, was born on 26 February 1908 in the Strand, Newlyn, Cornwall. The daughter of Arthur Henry Wells (Railway Conductor) and Addie Wells (née Trevaskis). The family later moved to Nevada Place, Heamoor, Penzance.
She accompanied her mother and brother Ralph on Titanic travelling to her father who had previously moved to live at 279 Arch Street, Akron, Ohio. She survived the sinking and lived in Akron until her death on 11 July 1933, aged 24.
