Mr John Poole Penrose
Mr John Poole Penrose, 49, was born in Truro in 1863.
On the 1881 Cornish census he was recorded as aged 18 and was living in Feock (near Truro) and described as a ship's storekeeper.
Penrose was transferred from the Olympic. When he signed-on to the Titanic, on 4 April 1912, he gave his address as 13 South View Rd. (Southampton) (1). As a first class bedroom steward he received monthly wages of £3 15s. He came aboard the Titanic at 6 a.m. on 10 April.
Penrose died in the sinking, his body, if recovered, was never identified.

The U.S. Senate list gave his address as Southern Rd, Southampton.
