Mrs Mara Banski (née Osman)
Mrs Mara (?Maria, ?Marya) Osman, 31, a married domestic from Vagovina, Croatia, boarded the Titanic at Southampton.
To reach her destination of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, he bought her third class ticket from the agent: Viktor Klaus-Wildi, Buchs for 299 Swiss francs (ticket number 349244, £8 13s 8d).
Mrs Osman suvived the sinking and was rescued by the Carpathia, in which boat is unknown. After arriving in New York, she went to her sister Mrs Rudolph Paulovich at Steelton, Pennsylvania. Her mother Maria Osman still lived in Vagovina.
Notes
The information recorded by the Immigration Officer gives her status as single
and her nationality as Polish. This appears to be incorrect. Her christian name
is given as "Marya". She is also listed sometimes as "Maria Osman".
