Mr Richard Hosgood, 22, was born in London and gave his address as 19 Woolley Rd., Euston. His last ship had been the Saxon.
Hosgood and his colleagues Kinsella, Geer, Witt, Black and Lloyd were taken on at the last minute after six of the the "signed-on" crew arrived late for the sailing.
Hosgood died in the sinking, his body was later recovered (#242), he was buried at Fairview cemetery, Halifax, N.S. on 6 May 1912.
