TITANIC SURVIVOR IS HOME

Jersey Journal

Monday 22 April 1912

Practically recovered from exposure and bruises which he received when
the Titanic sunk [sic], Thomas McCormack, 19 years old, of 36 West
Twentieth Street, returned to his home Saturday. Since the arrival of
the Carpathia he had been at St. Vincent's Hospital, Eleventh Street and
Seventh Avenue, New York. His brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Evers, respectively, visited him Saturday. The young man
expressed a desire to return to his home and permission was granted to
him to leave by the hospital authorities, especially as McCormack was in
good condition physically.

When he reached his home in Bayonne he was warmly greeted by his
relatives and many friends, who showered the young man with
congratulations on his escape.
