Underwood Buys Major Butt’s House

WASHINGTON, Nov. 22---Representative Oscar Underwood of Alabama, Democratic leader of the House, completed to-day his purchase of the residence of Major Archibald D. [sic] Butt, former Military Aid under Presidents Roosevelt and Taft at the White House, who lost his life in the Titanic disaster. Mr. Underwood bought the house on the settlement of Major Butt’s estate.
