Mortlake Crematorium, London SW4. Is the site of his scattered ashes. Unmarked, plot 22.
also he has a Memorial brick in his name in the Woolston, Southampton,
Millennium Garden known as the Feathers in Victoria Road Woolston -
which opened in April 2002.
also there is a memorial plaque to him at his old boatyard on the River
Thames, the address is No. 1 Duck’s Walk, Twickenham, London, the
boatyard site has been redeveloped.
also he is remember by the restoration of his boat the motor yacht
Sundowner. The boat has been fully restored by the East Kent Maritime
Trust which is based at Margate, Kent. The Sundowner (commanded by
Lightoller) brought back no less than 127 men on one trip during the
evacuation of Dunkirk in 1940.
