WASHINGTON DODGE MAY RECOVER, HIS PHYSICIAN THINKS

San Francisco Bulletin

Page 10, column 3

Dr. Washington Dodge may have a chance for recovery because of the fight he is making at the St. Francis Hospital. Daily Dr. Dodge's condition is reported as "just the same, no change whatever," and the fact that the former Assessor and banker of this city is holding his own makes reports of his physician, Dr. John Gallwey, optimistic.
Dr. Dodge shot himself last Saturday, in a fit of despondency over illness.
