WEST HOBOKEN MAN'S RELATIVES HAVE NOT ABANDONED ALL HOPE

Hudson Observer

Nothing has been heard of John Ashby, listed as second cabin passenger aboard the ill-fated Titanic, and the family, in West Hoboken, with the Rev. Edmund J. Cleveland, would be pleased for any information. No satisfaction can be obtained at the White Star Offices in New York, for some reason or other, and although Mr. Ashby was on the passenger list, they do not know whether or not he sailed.

So far, although several of the second cabin survivors have been asked, they do not remember John Ashby, nor anyone answering to his description. This leads his daughter, and son-in-law Greenwood Robinson, of Traphagen street, to hope that he might not have been on board when the ship went down.

The Rev. Mr. Cleveland will try to get the address of some second cabin passengers, and interview them in the hope of learning whether he was on board.
