Mrs. Futrelle will arrive Saturday evening from Atlanta, Ga., to be the house guest of Mrs. Wellington Barnes in Ferger place. During her two-weeks’ visit Mrs. Futrelle will conduct an informal class in short story writing under the auspices of the Chattanooga Writers’ club. Monday afternoon Mrs. Barnes will entertain with an informal tea, honoring Mrs. Futrelle.
Mrs. Futrelle is a writer of wide experience, having published over 400 short stories and several novels, some of which have been translated into different foreign languages.
Mrs. Futrelle is prominent in club and social circles of Atlanta and has already a circle of friends in Chattanooga who will welcome her coming.
The day for the beginning of the class and the meeting place has not yet been decided upon. Announcements will be made the first of next week.
