Miss Perreault,
Montreal Canada

My Dear Miss Perreault:-

In the administration of the funds entrusted to it, this Committee has endeavored to secure full information concerning the circumstances of each of those entitled to its consideration and carefully and justly to take into account the needs and the losses sustained by each of them, as well as their resources remaining, and the help received from other relief funds.

In many instances, of course, loss of the support of relatives who perished has been far more serious than loss of property only.
Whatever the nature of the loss incurred, in no instance probably can it be fully restored by this Committee. The aggregate amount of all losses sustained by those persons and families now known to the Committee far exceeds the funds at its disposal.

In view of these considerations it has seemed to the Committee proper to make to you a further payment of $100.00, which completes the appropriation that can be afforded from the funds now in the care of the Committee, with due regard for the needs and claims of all concernd.
I take pleasure in enclosing the committee's cheque, drawn to your order, for the amount above mentioned,  I trust you will find permanent help in this assistance from those generous donors whose sympathies have been deeply stirred by the terrible disaster which befell you and so many others.

Kindly sign and return at your earliest convenience the voucher enclosed, in the stamped and addressed envelope provided for that purpose.
With cordial good wishes, on behalf of the members of this Committee, I am,

Sincerely yours

Frank Persons,
