Mrs. Oren E. Taft, Who's in
Europe, Loses Her Father,
A. A. Stewart, New York
Lithographer
_______________
Another name was added to the list of Titanic victims related to Chicagoans this morning when it became known that the father of Mrs. Oren E. Taft of this city had been lost in the disaster.
He was A. A. Stewart, an official of the Strowbridge Lithographing Company of New York. He was returning from Europe, where he had been traveling with his wife and his daughter, Mrs. Taft, both of whom are still in Europe.
Mr. Taft is vice president of the Pearson-Taft Land Credit Company, with offices at 105 La Salle street, and immediately upon learning of the loss of the Titanic he went to New York, hoping that his father-in-law might be among the rescued passengers aboard the Carpathia.
