Branch opened in Liverpool

The British Seafarers' Union opened in Liverpool, yesterday, a branch office in South John-street.  The union was established about eighteen months ago at Southampton, where it has registered offices.  It has also a branch in Glasgow.  The hon. president is Mr. T. Lewis, and the secretary Mr. Arthur Cannon.  The Liverpool Branch will be in charge of Mr. T. Threlfall, who was a leading fireman on the Titanic, and from which he was rescued.  The union is affiliated to the Southampton Trades and Labour Council.
