Andrew Karageorge

RMS Carpathia Able Seaman

Mr Andrew Karageorge was born in Greece around 1871. Little else is known about his background or early life.

An able seaman by profession, Karageorge was serving aboard the Carpathia in April 1912 when that ship rescued the survivors of the Titanic disaster. 

Karageorge continued working at sea and in July 1912 transferred to Ivernia, stating his permanent residence as New York.

With his last address stated as 96 Raymond Street in Liverpool, Andrew Karageorge died aged 42 in May 1913 and was buried in Anfield Cemetery.
