An unexpected but welcome piece of news. Well done the team who found her.
Does anyone know specifically which interior spaces (including specific staterooms) were directly affected or damaged by the collision between the HMS Hawke and the RMS Olympic? Thanks in advance for the reply. :)
I remember hearing or reading that somewhere. Or is it just a legend?
Also, I think nurse Violet Jessup was on board the Olympic during the Hawke collision, the Titanic, and the Britannic during its sinking.
As most of us know; the Olympic was nearly identical to the Titanic save for her exposed Promenade deck and nameplates... If this was the case, in 1911 (before her watertight doors were fixed due to the issues the Titanic disaster brought to light) how is it possible that the Olympic survived...

Does anyone know the cabin number and the location of Violet Jessop's room, the Glory Hole location and what deck was Violet a stewardess on?
Thank you!!
Michele

Walter Williams
Katherine Gold
Violet Jessop
Ernest Farendon
Sarah Stap
George Kemish
and Chief Officer Henry Wilde
Were there any passengers on the Olympic at the...
