In their 1987 book Titanic: Triumph and Tragedy, John Eaton & Charles Haas quote that when Lifeboat #11 was lowered from the A-deck, it was loaded with at least 70 people, which would have been 5 beyond its rated capacity. But here on ET, while acknowledging that there were claims of up to 80...
I've read in previous discussions that nine stewardesses supposedly escaped in Lifeboat No. 11. Can anyone point me to evidence supporting that? I've only been able to find confirmation in the accounts of four female crew members (Gold, A.Martin, Robinson and Slocombe).
Hello everyone. I happened to be searching on a website and i found this picture
Does anyone know which lifeboat this may be?There is only 3 oars in the picture and i know that lifeboat 11 used 3 oars through out the night.
Thanks
Andy
