word "ice"

Hello, I was reading the testimony of Lightoller yesterday, questions from 16068 to 16880, when they talked about a chit of paper that was in the Chart Room with the word "ice" written on it. They really seem not to know who put it there and why. I don't know it the mystery had been solved...
