45 second Titanic TV ad

If I remember correctly, on one of these lists the subject of titanic and publicity was discussed some time ago.
This is not an attempt to revitalize that discussion, but for those interested, one of Belgium's telephone companies, Belgacom, ran a 45 second television ad for one of their products. The message is of no concern to us, but the images itself maybe are: 45 seconds on the bridge of the titanic. The people who built the bridge did a fine job IMHO; of course there are several mistakes, but it's a lot more authentic and historically correct than the 1996 TV movie for example. Clearly inspired by James Cameron's Titanic though (especially the Statue of Liberty).

you can find the ad at:
www belgacom.be/private/hbsres/jsp/static/tvspot.jsp
or if that doesn't work
www belgacom.be/web/Portal/spots/nl/mail/:

in any case, it's the second one from the top.

I should attach a short warning to the above message:
If you follow one of the links, the site will first ask you to set your language.
Choose "kies uw taal" or "nl" (dutch in both cases) and don't choose english! Choosing english will result in a video clip that is dubbed in french, while the dutch video clip is in english (with discrete dutch subtitles)

It's an ad about "tele-communication"; the idea is that decent communication would have prevented the Titanic disaster. It's not the most 'tasteful' way to treat the Titanic, but I found the level of detail rather interesting.

And thanks for the kind welcome words!

Implying that if they had this form of communications, they would have reached New York instead of striking an iceberg?

Speaking of commercials, has anyone seen the computer commercial starring the "Carpathian Brothers?" A group of monks who can only communicate through the Internet. Interesting to note they're named after the Carpathia.

Kyrila,
I am no expert in this area, but there are some Carpathian Mountain Ranges somewhere in an area which used to house quite a few Monks. The Carpathia was actually named after them.

A little child?
If you are referring to me, I spent my last day of childhood on June 1st, as on June 2nd I turned 15 - in Australia the time when you become an adult. As for little... I am certainly taller than my partner.

Alright, you win.
