Hi,

I am doing a school assignment, and I have enjoyed reading this message board for research. There are a lot of people here that obviously know a lot about the titanic.

There is a section in the assignment that has me stumped, as far as finding the nessecary information. The question is:

"State the materials the ship is made from. Explain reactions between elements and compounds in terms of atomic structure and periodicity with the use of equations".

I don't need help with the chemical equations, I understand this isn't the place to ask for that anyway. The part I am stuck on is finding the information on the materials the ship is made from.

So far I have found that:

The hull was built with a high-sulfur content steel.

I know that there is iron, wood etc in there, but I can't find details on it. If anyone knows, or knows a website where I could find out what the anchor was made out of, what type of iron and steel were used etc it would be a great help.

To sum it up, any information on materials the ship is made from would be a great help. Thanks in advance!
