A question of two books

I have just been cruising through my other fave site "the Debris Field" and have seen the cover of "A Wilful Murder" by Diane Preston.
On Amazon she has a book called "Lusitania...etc" that shows the only available image of a Lusitania lifebelt.

Is this a marketing trick or has she been really busy lately?

your in perplexity

Since were on the subject of Lusitania books, I picked up a copy of "LUSITANIA" By Colin Simpson at a used bookshop a couple of months ago. I haven't really had a chance to read it yet (I'm up to my neck in inquiry transcripts to get ready for Erik Wood's gathering) but I was wondering if anybody had any comments to offer about it.

Four funnels up, or is it four funnels falling down with the midsection disintigrating?

Cordially,

Ive heard the Simpson book deserves a "3 funnels crashing overboard" rating.......

Seems the only Lucy books I can warm up to are the Lauriet and Hoeling books...

Tarn:

If you're seriously (and I mean *seriously*) interested in Lusitania try The Lusitania Disaster by Bailey and Ryan. Extremely dense read, but well worth the effort.

Eric,

Preston is good and recent (but long). I agree, Bailey and Ryan's Lusitania Disaster is the essential one and I have said that on this board before. Good response to Simpson, etc.
