Here's a smiole for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, all! :)

A Tribute To A Disaster Flick

By Crazy Ricardo Smith
(aka Richard (Tony) Krebes)

[Footsteps, ringing alarms]
Hey why in the world
is the general alarm going off?
Geez, hope the Captain checks it out, man
ah here we are [door opening]
PARTY TIME!

[Start music.
Panicked voices, breaking glass.]

Holy COW!

[Continue music, begin lyrics.]

What on earth is goin’ on here?
Somethin’ bad’s about to happen
of this I am quite clear
the general alarm is ringin’ tonight
an’ it looks like this here party
is startin’ to die.

Chorus:
Oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.

Now this ship’s startin’ to rock
and that’s not good
big o’ Tusnami just had to be
in the neighborhood
people startin’ to tumble and fall
ooooh it looks like this party
ain’t no longer any ol’ New Year’s ball.

Chorus:
Oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.

Everybody’s startin to fall
when the floor ain’t tilted right
if I see somebody flyin’ around
I can’t just pretend it’s allright
the last thing we wanted
to happen tonight
is to have the ship flip
onto her beam ends now
till’ we’re floatin’ up side down
an’ can’t even get out!

[Terrified screams, yelling.]

Hey come on
the fat purser is sayin’
might as well just sit around prayin’
hard to get up and out
despite how badly off we are now.

Chorus:
Oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.

What?
The Reverend Scott is sayin’
we can’t just give up now!
We ain’t even started escapin’
everybody, lets get out
before the lights go out
come on!

Chorus:
Oooohh,
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling
oh, what an unpleasant feeling
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.
(hey Reverend, I’m with you, man!)
oh what an unplesant feeling
[begin fade]
when were standing on what used to be the ceiling
oh, what an unplesant feeling\
when we’re standing on what used to be the ceiling.

The End

Ah, the dear old "Poseidon Adventure". The movie which I have seen more often than any other - and I don't only mean funnel flicks.

Thanks, Richard. I think you captured it very well indeed!

Hey! I liked that. It goes along with my "And now for something completely different", thread.
Happy New Year All! And Many Blessings to You & Yours!
