I have been researching the history of Geo. Thompson Jnr's A.W.S.L. for some 25 years. I am curious to establish the early relationship which seems to have existed with the Oceanic Steam Navigation Co., before the Line was taken over by O.S.N.Co and Shaw Savill in 1905. A Colonel Henry Concanon, a director of W.S.L., was appointed a director of the A.W.S.L. apparently some time before the acquisition. The two lines had shared the same managing agents in Australia, Dalgettys, from the time of O.S.N.Co. re-entering the Australian trade in 1899. Any leads would be appreciated.
