Adventure out of time game questions

Hi all, does anyone know where you can find the painting that we have to look for? I had found the empty package in the cargo holds but and broke into Sasha's room, but where do you go from there? And now I lost that game after my computer crashed, and everytime I go in the cargo holds, i can't even find the empty package anymore, and thats the same point I'm up to in the game. What do I do now? Can you tell me what happens in both cases: after you find the empty package and penny yells at you? and how to find the package since I have to redo it?
