After War Broke Out

Hey guys,
I was wondering about what happened to all the fittings once the Britannic was being turned into a hospital ship. I know she was supposed to be more beautiful and luxurious than her sisters but what happened to all the paneling and fixtures. Did they just keep them on? To make it sound easier.....Were there a bunch of nurses and wounded guys on a luxurious ship with a bunch of bunks on it?
